ikea

why do we love ikea? a quick look at the companies homepage may surprise you. it is in an awful lot of countries with a few shops in most but at least a presence in 35 different areas.
i went today and came back with a wardrobe that contained a cracked mirror.. the total weight of the packages was in excess of 300kg (i did buy some other things as well!)
so a fairly mad dash to the van with a loaded trolley that under all of that weight simply means another trip to return the broken item. as all the items were flat packed it is unlikely that i damaged it whilst loading but a call to the store - why do they NOT put the number on the reciept? an the lady explained that i would only have to return the mirror not the rest of the items..
ikea the world leader in particle board assembly, cardboard heaven and missing instruction sheets... the malm wardobe sheet has the wrong pictorial instructions but you should be able to work that one out as the hole the peg is supposed to go into simply swallows it whole.
i shall of course point this out to the helpful person when i return the mirror, i wonder how long the queue will be.....
