msn changes

i used to one of the few millions to have a hotmail account and actually use the msn homepage they went through an update or redesign as they called it of the webpage a while back and when i logged into my spare machine this evening its homepage is (was) set to the msn page. i did what i had to do as i was using the computer for diggin out a driver or two for a friends pc, my ie browser has the google toolbar installed and i started to do an online search by typing into the google toolbar as the msn page has set focus in its code it means that it takes the cursor away from where i am on screen and focuses it into the msn search bar which is crap! why? well because i usually have not finished typing my query into the google one so msn only gets half the question and secondly it really is a poor search engine.
the bbc and various others have made there own choices, me i will stick with google as a search engine and i changed my homepage to the news.. oh and they also have misleading links for the new services that they offer such as msndvd rental which is really annoying.
